It’s not from stocks, private equity, or real estate… it’s from contemporary and post war art. Crazy, right?
With Masterworks, you don’t need to be a BILLIONAIRE to invest in multi-million dollar art anymore.
Historically, the segment overall has had attractive appreciation and low correlation to stocks.*
Masterworks targets works featuring legends like Banksy, Basquiat, and Picasso, identifying what they believe to have significant long-term appreciation potential, not just at the artist level but at the level of individual artworks.
As one of the largest players in the art market, with $1.3 billion invested over 500 artworks, they pass critical advantages through to their 70,000+ members to add art to their portfolios strategically.

Your Allergies Are Real This Year. An Edmonton Expert Just Explained Why.
This spring's later-than-usual arrival followed by dry conditions has put Edmonton trees under significant stress, and they are responding by releasing far more pollen than normal.
Arborist Kevin Sproule of Davey Tree Edmonton says two false springs tricked trees into early growth and then pulled the warmth back, which triggers a stress response that pushes out heavier pollen loads.
Pharmacist Pam Lavold says people are walking in with congestion, sneezing and watery eyes in full force and recommends starting antihistamines now rather than waiting until symptoms are out of control.
If you have been blaming the air lately, the air deserves it. What is your go-to for getting through allergy season?
Flood Warnings Are Now Official. Alberta Has Until Wednesday to Brace.
Environment Canada upgraded the rainfall situation Saturday to formal warnings across a wide stretch of Alberta, from Fort McMurray all the way down to Lethbridge.
Between 50 and 100 millimetres of rain is expected through Wednesday, with roads expected to pool, rivers and creeks to rise and washouts possible in low-lying areas.
Premier Smith told her provincewide radio show Saturday that the province is ready and monitoring closely, saying conditions are not at 2013 levels but that her government is not taking chances.
If you live near any waterway this week, keep an eye on conditions and know your evacuation route. Stay safe out there.
A Bishnoi Gang Letter Claimed 1,000 Gunmen in Canada. The Hearing Involved an Edmonton Suspect.
A letter sent by the Bishnoi criminal gang to Abbotsford police last August was revealed at a deportation hearing for an alleged member of an Edmonton-based extortion network this week.
The letter outlined the gang's reach and claimed they had over 1,000 individuals in Canada willing to carry out shootings as part of their extortion operation.
The Bishnoi gang has been a designated terrorist entity in Canada since September 2024, and Edmonton Police are actively part of Project Al-Extortion, the national investigation into organized crime targeting Alberta's South Asian community.

BC Conservatives Have a New Leader. It Was One of the Closest Votes in Recent Memory.
Kerry-Lynne Findlay is the new leader of the BC Conservative Party after a four-round ranked ballot vote Saturday night that came down to 51 percent versus 49 percent.
More than 25,000 party members cast ballots. Findlay campaigned on property rights, resource wealth and what she called ending NDP economic vandalism in BC.
The BC NDP immediately called her "the pro-Trump wing" of the party. Premier David Eby sent a congratulatory tweet while several BC Conservative MLAs had already said her win would give voters pause.
This is the party that came within 30,000 votes of forming government in 2024. Now they have their second leader in six months. What do you make of the direction BC conservatism is heading?
Canada's Spy Agency Hid Potential Charter Violations From the Government for Years
A watchdog report released this week reveals CSIS failed to properly report 22 instances of potential Charter violations and unlawful employee activity to the federal public safety minister in 2023 and 2024.
The law requires CSIS to report any potentially unlawful or Charter-breaching activity from employees, but the watchdog NSIRA says the reports that were filed lacked enough detail for the minister to understand what happened or how serious it was.
Michael Nesbitt, an associate professor at the University of Calgary's law school, said the accountability mechanism that justified giving CSIS expanded powers in the first place has "collapsed."
The minister's office says it expects full implementation of NSIRA's recommendations. Is your confidence in Canada's intelligence oversight going up or down?

Israel Just Raised Its Flag Over a 900-Year-Old Castle in Lebanon. The Iran Peace Deal Just Got Harder.
Israeli forces seized Beaufort Castle in southern Lebanon on Sunday, a 12th-century Crusader fortress that Israel last controlled for 18 years before withdrawing in 2000.
Israel has launched over 3,300 strikes and projectiles in Lebanon since May 24 alone, pushing further into the country than at any point in 26 years, with forces now approaching the city of Nabatiyeh more than 30 kilometres from the border.
Iran is now demanding that any deal to extend the US-Iran ceasefire must also include an end to the fighting in Lebanon, a condition Israel has not agreed to. Qatar called Israel's advance a "dangerous escalation." The first direct Israel-Lebanon military talks in decades happened Friday.
Over 3,300 people have been killed in Lebanon since the fighting started March 2. Does a ceasefire that leaves out Lebanon feel like a real ceasefire to you?
