With Masterworks, you don’t need to be a BILLIONAIRE to invest in multi-million dollar art anymore.
Historically, the segment overall has had attractive appreciation and low correlation to stocks.*
Masterworks targets works featuring legends like Banksy, Basquiat, and Picasso, identifying what they believe to have significant long-term appreciation potential, not just at the artist level but at the level of individual artworks.
As one of the largest players in the art market, with $1.3 billion invested over 500 artworks, they pass critical advantages through to their 70,000+ members to add art to their portfolios strategically.

Happy Saturday Edmonton!
Saturday already feels like it is running out of time, and it sort of is. A massive rainstorm is rolling in Sunday morning, which means today is the day to soak up the last of the warm weather before Edmonton gets a month's worth of rain in a single day. While you are figuring out your Saturday plans, grab a coffee and let us catch you up on a week that ended with a war possibly winding down, a wildfire northwest of the city and Canada officially naming its World Cup squad.💛

A Month of Rain Is Coming. It Starts Sunday.
Edmonton, grab the umbrellas and check the basement drains because a month's worth of rain could fall on the city in a single day starting Sunday morning.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for much of Alberta, with 50 to 90 millimetres of rain expected by early next week. For context, Edmonton averages just 44mm in all of May.
Flood watches are already in place along the Bow River near Banff and downstream toward Calgary, where a heavier than normal mountain snowpack has river levels rising fast ahead of the storm.
Heavy rain begins Saturday night in other parts of Alberta and arrives in Edmonton Sunday morning, easing off Tuesday night into Wednesday.
Six Homes Are Gone After a Wildfire Tore Through a Lake Community Northwest of Edmonton
Residents of Thunder Lake subdivision in County of Barrhead are coming home to find six homes destroyed and more than 30 outbuildings gone after a wildfire swept through on Thursday afternoon.
The fire hit the Summerlea and Thunder Lake subdivisions about 20 km west of Barrhead, prompting an emergency alert, a state of local emergency and mandatory evacuation of the area around the lake.
Alberta Wildfire crews worked through the night on hot spots and the evacuation order was lifted Friday after the fire was confirmed extinguished. No injuries were reported.
Utility damage in the affected areas is still being assessed and a fire restriction remains in effect for the county.

Canada's World Cup Roster Is Official. Here Is Who Made the Cut.
Canada has named its 26-man FIFA World Cup squad, and the tournament on home soil is now less than two weeks away.
Head coach Jesse Marsch revealed the roster Friday evening in a primetime special on TSN and CTV. Thirteen players are returning from the 2022 Qatar campaign, and goalkeepers Dayne St. Clair and Maxime Crepeau will battle for the starting spot.
Captain Alphonso Davies is still recovering from a hamstring injury and is not expected to be ready for Canada's opener on June 12 in Toronto.
Edmonton gets a front-row seat before the tournament even starts. Canada faces Uzbekistan in a pre-tournament friendly at Commonwealth Stadium on June 1.
Canada Is Now Officially in a Technical Recession
For the first time since the pandemic, Canada has posted two consecutive quarters of economic contraction.
Statistics Canada released Q1 2026 GDP data Friday showing real GDP contracted 0.1 percent on an annualized basis, following a revised 1 percent drop in Q4 2025. Weak business investment, soft government spending and tariff pressures are the main culprits.
Alberta's resource extraction and construction sectors were among the heaviest drags on the national number, though early April data shows a 0.4 percent rebound already underway.
If you have been feeling it in your wallet this year, the numbers confirm the feeling was real.

Trump Says the Hormuz Blockade Is Over. Iran Is Already Disputing the Terms.
The three-month U.S. naval blockade on the Strait of Hormuz is over, at least according to President Trump.
Trump posted Friday that a proposed agreement with Iran has been reached, with the U.S. blockade to be lifted and control of the strait passing to a joint Omanian-Iranian effort, on the condition Iran agrees never to pursue a nuclear weapon.
Iranian state media pushed back within hours, saying Trump's post "raised issues that contradict the provisions of the agreement's text." Oil prices fell 20 percent from 2026 highs on the news before uncertainty crept back in.
If the deal holds, Alberta energy royalties, fuel prices and inflation could all shift meaningfully before summer is over.
