When Eitan Badarov first moved to Canada, he worked as a subcontractor for a handful of garage door companies. What he saw did not sit right with him, customers were not getting the quality or the care he believed they deserved. Rather than keep working inside a system he could not change, Eitan decided to build something different himself.

“I couldn't change the industry as a subcontractor, so I decided to change it as an individual, as a company, and bring something new to the industry,” Eitan says.

That decision became Elevatex Overhead Doors Inc, a mobile garage door company based out of Spruce Grove that now services the greater Edmonton area, no storefront needed since Eitan comes straight to the client.

Ask Eitan what Elevatex actually does and he keeps it simple. “We service doors, we replace doors, all garage door related things, we can do it,” he says. That covers everything from emergency repairs, a broken spring, a snapped cable, a door that met the bumper of a car, to homeowners who are simply ready to refresh the look of their house.

“They contact me and I come for a free estimate. I show them all the options and build a proper quote,” Eitan says. From there the client decides how they want to move forward, no pressure attached.

It's the most important thing for me, to put the client in the spotlight,” he says. Elevatex also uses Canadian made products with a lifetime warranty and top of the line openers, but Eitan is quick to point back to the experience itself. “I'm the owner operator of the company, so I always give clients 100 percent attention.”

That attention shows up most clearly in the moments that stick with him. “A customer told me that even though my quote wasn't the cheapest, they decided to go with me because my customer service and my care about the customer was something they hadn't experienced before,” Eitan says. “It's definitely not about being the cheapest. It's about being there when the customer needs me. They can call me 24/7, and I think that's a huge game changer.”

Looking ahead, Eitan wants more of Edmonton to know there is a better way to get a garage door fixed. “The market is flooded with unreliable products and companies that put the customer in the background,” he says. “I look forward to showing the Edmonton area that garage door service can be way better than they think, the customer service and the whole experience, not just the product.”
