Happy Wednesday, Edmonton!
Welcome to a special midweek Local Love Spotlight, for a great local business story.
This week we are meeting a mechanic who spent nine years working on other people's vehicles before he decided to bring the whole shop straight to your driveway instead, and named the business after the dog who was along for the ride. We think you will love this one.

Artiyom Genin, LAB Tire Services | Spruce Grove and surrounding area
What is LAB Tire Services in Spruce Grove, Alberta?
Artiyom Genin spent nine years working as a mechanic before he decided it was time to work for himself. When it came to naming the new business, the inspiration was sitting right next to him the whole time, his Labrador. LAB Tire Services was born, and Artiyom tells the story with a laugh every time.
“Nine years working for someone else taught me exactly how I wanted to do things differently,” Artiyom says. “When I finally went out on my own, naming it after my Lab just felt right. She was there for all of it, so it only made sense.”
What LAB Tire Services actually does is refreshingly simple. Artiyom comes to you. A flat tire, a seasonal changeover, a full new set for the truck, it does not matter, he loads up the equipment and shows up wherever your vehicle is, at home, at work or on the side of the road, anywhere across Spruce Grove, Edmonton, Stony Plain, Parkland County and the surrounding area. Mount, balance, and sales across every brand and every season, all handled right where you already are instead of a shop waiting room.

“I got tired of watching people burn half a day sitting in a waiting room for a job that takes twenty minutes,” Artiyom says. “If I can bring the shop to your driveway instead, why wouldn't I?”
Ask Artiyom what keeps him doing this work and he does not talk about tires, he talks about trust. He points to clients he has been working with for a couple of years now, people who keep calling him back not because he is the only option in the area, but because he shows up on time, explains exactly what needs to be done, and does it right.
“The tire business is a small world,” he says. “People talk to their neighbours, their coworkers, their family. If you do right by one person, a few more show up because of it. That word of mouth is worth more to me than any ad.”
That reputation shows up loud and clear in the numbers too. LAB Tire Services sits at a perfect 5.0 stars across more than 100 Google reviews, and the comments all tell a similar story. “Fast, professional, and very convenient. They came to my location and handled the tire service without the usual shop wait,” wrote Roxanne Glans. “They showed up on time, explained everything clearly, and got my tires changed quickly. Highly recommend,” wrote Michael T. “Great service for busy schedules. I booked while at work and they completed the tire change right outside,” wrote Sarah K. And David R. put it simply: “Professional, clean, and efficient. Much easier than driving to a shop and waiting around.”

“I don't really think about it as five stars,” Artiyom says. “I think about showing up when I said I would and doing the job right. The reviews just mean people noticed.”
Artiyom backs that up with real credentials behind the mobile setup, a diploma in automobile mechanics, advanced Toyota and Lexus training, and full AMVIC licensing to operate in Alberta. But ask him what actually sets LAB Tire apart and he keeps it simple: professional, convenient, on time, and willing to go a step further if something comes up that was not part of the original plan.
“Being licensed and trained matters to me,” he says. “But honestly, what people actually remember is whether you showed up on time and told them the truth about what their vehicle needed.”
Looking ahead, Artiyom is focused on growing his client base, and he is already working on a few additional services to roll out down the road.

What he wants you to know
Ask Artiyom what he wants people to know about him, not what he sells but who he is, and it comes down to showing up. He is punctual, he does his best on every job, and if something outside the original plan comes up, he stays open to helping figure it out anyway.
“I want people to know this isn't a side gig,” Artiyom says. “I show up, I do the work right, and if something unexpected comes up on the job, I do not just leave it half done. That is the whole point of doing this myself.”
That is LAB Tire Services. If a flat tire or a seasonal swap has been sitting on your to do list, Artiyom will bring the shop straight to you.
